Coronavirus scare in Pune: ECA issues advisory against gatherings

PUNE: The Association of Primary Education and Research (APER), under the ECA, has advised all pre-schools, kindergarten, balewadis, day-cares, creche facilities and primary schools in the city to refrain from conducting field trips, annual concerts and gathering in large numbers as a preventive measure amid coronavirus fears.

Early Childhood Association (ECA) president Swati Popat Vats said, "We have issued an advisory against taking children to crowded places for field trips. If possible, schools should cancel or postpone all field trips to public places. If schools have organized an event like an annual concert, it is best to postpone it."
